We have heard all the bleak messages about climate change.
We’re looking for action.
All players, fans, sport organisations and events have a role to play in leading Australians towards a carbon neutral future as soon as possible.
Australian Sports Climate (ASC) was spawned by an idea when chatting with the super star Australian cricket player, Pat Cummins in mid-2021.
Pat voiced his genuine wish to give back to the cricket community and at the same time to address the impacts of climate change.
We wondered if all Australians felt the same. We are such a sports obsessed country. Why aren’t we making sure our sports future is protected from climate change?
The idea was born; a sports targeted climate organisation, with the goal of assisting the sports industry to transition to a carbon neutral future by:
- raising and directing funds into sporting clubs and events, in order to decarbonise, and
- assisting sports fans, player associations, the sporting organisations and their members, to measure and reduce their own carbon footprint.
We believe we can help the environment by making an immediate and lasting impact in the sport community.
We hope that by providing education, hands on management and climate expertise, that we can build great momentum and real change in the sporting world’s view and action, against climate change.
We need to get our head in the game and be a major participant to ensure we protect our climate future.
Australian Sports Climate is here to help that happen.
Our team has extensive experience in the creation and management of environmental certificates.
We understand how they are created, audited, sold and surrendered.
We have operated under the Australian Government’s Emissions Reduction Fund, the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, the Victorian Energy Upgrades, the SA Retailer energy efficiency Scheme, and the Australian Government Renewable energy Target.
That’s why we can provide these services. We can do the technical stuff and make it simple for you to concentrate on reducing your own footprint.
