A Pat Cummins initiative
Working with Pat Cummins and his management team, we are helping to build a movement geared towards assisting Cricket in Australia become a carbon neutral sport. This is being driven by Pat’s mission to change mindsets, drive action against climate change and inspire others to do better to look after the environment.
Pat has connected with other cricket athletes who have each committed to personally donate to their own cricket clubs to help provide solar installations as a key component of Clubs being carbon neutral. Pat himself will be sponsoring his own local Penrith Cricket Club, where he grew up training and playing the sport he loves.
Supplementing these donations, we have secured the contribution of tier 1 solar panels and inverters for the installation of complete 10kw solar power systems across the first 15 cricket clubs.
We aim to lead the way for up to 4,000 other sports/cricket clubs across Australia – and sporting fans – to follow the same path to become carbon neutral as soon as possible. Over time, we believe there is potential to add affordable batteries to these solar solutions.
Over the longer term, these sports clubs could be turned into energy-generating income positive assets. Are you a sporting club that would like to join this program?
