How to fund your club to reduce its footprint
We have found a bunch of grants that might suit your club, so scroll through the below. We will endeavour to keep this up to date, but do please contact us know if you find others that should be listed here.
Sustainability Victoria
This program – the Community Climate Change and Energy Action Program – is in round 2. Grants of up to $50,000 are available per Community Group. Capital funding up to $50k available for equipment such as:
- rooftop solar installations
- solar battery storage
- awnings, shades, or insulation
- window tinting and double glazing
- energy-efficient lighting
Applications close: Monday 4 April 2022
Sport NSW
Sport NSW monitors available grants with the view to sharing the information with member State Sporting Organisations, State Sporting Organisations with a Disability and Local Councils. Grant information and updates are a regular feature of the fortnightly Blues eNews newsletter, however the full summary of all grants available throughout the year can be found here.
Northern Beaches
This program aims to provide grants to not-for-profit community organisations to improve the energy efficiency practices and technologies leading to a reduction in energy use, improvement in energy productivity and delivery of carbon abatement. Click here for more information.
Cricket
This season there will be two rounds of funding via the Volunteer & Equipment Support Grants. The first round opening on 25 October 2021 and the second on 13 February 2022. Clubs and indoor centres are only eligible in one of these funding rounds, Please refer to the GCF guidelines below for further information. Click here for more information.
Local council
There are several strategies you can encourage your local council to adopt in order to reduce carbon emissions ; Encourage local project applications, Apply for a getting-off-gas project loan, Set up a council-run revolving climate fund, A community Climate Emergency fund, click here.
